It's starting to freeze or pixelate or/and produce blue lines after 15min or so and then reboots.

So I'm thinking of a new one. Some gaming like PES, Rome total war, home video editing. Don't want to go below my old one in specs but keep cost as low as possible

Specs

PSU Premier 400W
Motherboard ASRock M3A785GXH/128M
Bus Type DDR3 SDRAM
Real Clock 667 MHz (DDR)
Effective Clock 1333 MHz
Bandwidth 10667 MB/s
AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 255 3100 MHz
Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512 mb
RAM 2x4gb DDR3 Corsair
WD 500gb 7200

Any thoughts?

Solution

With those older cards you should be OK with 400w with the specs you posted.

No problem. Glad it works for you. Since the original question was about what card would be a good replacement though and not how to repair your existing card, do you think you could choose a best solution (if any). Thanks!
