I'm building my first pc and I'm new to this. My problem is which graphics card out of the two (Gtx 760 4Gb, R9 280x) is better.. Not the bang for the buck, but which one performs better on games like Battlefield 4 mainly and all the new graphically intense games in 1080p Ultra graphics.

*I did find previous threads about this very fact but none explained this*

My other specs :

i5 4590
750w PSU
1080p Monitor
ASUS H97 ATX Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8 Gb of DDR3 Ram

-CenturyTech

R9 280x blows that 760 out of the water.

If you are considering the 280x you might want to consider going about $20 more and just getting something like the 770 2gb edition.

Does the amount of Video Memory impact on the gameplay? Since the 770 is 2Gb.

Thanks. That seems to be the majority's choice.

2gb for a single monitor at 1080p 4gb for surround=3 monitors at 1080p and above. 3-4gb for a monitor that runs at 1440p+
