Hello everyone, I have built computers before but have never had one take this long. I've literally replaced every vital component- the CPU, PSU, mobo and finally the RAM. I still don't get a POST. Here's a video of my problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDHqSKp2KUU

In the description is also the list of parts, specs, etc. Thanks for helping! I'm really struggling and am desperate now- I've already sent it to a professional who wasn't able to solve it either. Thanks!

Has anyone ever breadboarded it?

It's all new- I'm 1st owner. I'm sorry to ask- but what does breadboarding mean?

Remove the motherboard. Put the MB on an insulated surface like the box it arrived in. Connect just the CPU/cooler, 1 stick memory in 1st DIMM slot*, PSU, KB, and if available; the on-board video to monitor. Nothing else. Start the system by momentarily shorting the 2 pins on the MB FP header that the case's start button wires would plug into. You should get a display and be able to boot to BIOS by tapping DEL. If that doesn't happen, chances are the MB is defective. Possibly the CPU, but much less likely.

Important: While the board is out of the case, check that you didn't accidentally add an extra standoff that could be shorting the back of the MB. This happens a lot.

* the MB manual will state if there is one particular DIMM slot you should use when populating only a single slot.

Yep I have done that- not with this new RAM, but in the past and it hasn't worked. I have had two mobos and cpus and psus, so the chance it is one of those is very small- I talked to a guy on Asus who said it was the RAM, and evidently I must be missing something. I will try that external boot with the new RAM now. Thanks! Is there anything else I should do, or something I should try if it doesn't change anything?

Basically it's what many call benching a rig, though it actually goes into electronics and laying out a board design....have a benching guide that might help:

I'll try that too. I appreciate all the help- if you ever have anything to add as well I'll probably be checking this thread once in a while if it doens't work. Thanks everyone!
