So i bought a Western Digital WD10EZEX(http://goo.gl/GC2G81) about a month ago. In the past few days i have been getting random freezes where i am in a program(most of the time Steam or Google Chrome) and the program will stop responding, then "Windows Will Stop Responding) and about 1 minute later it will be fixed. I have scanned my pc for virus vie malware bytes and norton 360. And i also have my old hard drive from my laptop plugged in
Specs:
Os: Windows 8.1
CPU: AMD Athlon x4 750k
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7790
MOBO: FM2-A75MA-E35 i am pretty sure
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB
i am also using 2 moniters

if you uninstall google chrome what happens?

turn off windows updates and auto driver updates.
uninstall whatever sound driver you are not using.

how many sticks of ram are you running?

are you using the stock heat sink on the cpu?

does it do the same stuff if you're not running the graphics card?

what were you using for a drive before the new one?......... and how does it run with that one installed?

did you try disabling Norton? what happens then?
