Alright so i just got done building my first PC about a week ago, here is a link to my build.

I started playing some Far Cry 3 yesterday and have been using msi afterburner to measure my GPU temps during gameplay. The Gpu reached 77 degrees after playing for about 45 minutes. I went into MSI after i was done and noticed my GPU fan speed is set at 29% should I increase the fan speed? What % should I set it to?

Also I use cpuid to measure cpu temp and at idle it stays around 32 degree and after I was done playing far cry the max temp it reached was 52. Are these temps ok for the CPU?

Solution
Both of those temperatures (cpu and gpu) are completely normal and safe, you don't need to worry about it

P.S if you have manually set your fan speed to 29% de-select manual fan control and it will scale up and down as necessary

It was already set to 29% the first time I opened MSI, I just didn't know if that was to low, Still a noob when it comes to pc gaming lol. Also like I said these temps where only after playing for like 45 minutes do you think I should play a couple hours then see what the temps are? Also i just bought another fan for my case, So I will have 2 intake fans in front a exhaust fan on the back and a exhaust fan on top so i should be good on airflow in the case.

sure you could play for a few more hours, but it doubt it will get much hotter, once the card warms up to its load temp it stabilises and stays there

Sure, bro my CPU temps hit like 80+ and GPU temps hit 78+ during game play earlier and I kept on playing for hours and hours. So no issue there at all.

Mount two front fans in intake position, 1-2 fans on top in exhaust position and 1 fan at rear in exhaust position and you'll be much better off.

sorry one more question about MSI. to set it as automatic do i go into the fan tab in settings and check the box that says enable user defined software automatic fan control and then use the default setting in the drop box?
