Hi ALL,I am using Win-XP, GIGABYTE MOTHERBOARD along with ALLIANCE CABLE NETWORK CONNECTION.Having a strange problem since the last few days.

Issue is like:

Control Panel->Network Connections-> Enter(Go inside) -> Earlier my LAN Connection icon was showing here..but now the icon is TOTALLY missing !!! Also, the 'Network Adapter' option in Device Manager is missing.

I have formatted my PC... but no resolution...the icon is still missing.

Anyone have any idea how get the lost icon back ??

With no network card in device manager, you won't get the icon. The issue is you either have a bad network card or you simply need to re-install the drivers. Get the drivers for the motherboard, if that does not work, get an add-on network card to use.
