Hey everyone. So I'm going to make this short and simple; What has been happening is that my friend has wireless connection. She's on one side of the house and the router is on the other. The house is fairly small, so it's not that far away at all.Probably around 30 Feet, 40 At most. She used to only have a USB wireless adapter and it worked only for a VERY short amount of time until it started dropping constantly. It worked nicely very rarely. So I added in a dedicated wireless card which is this one here:

It has done well for about two - three months. But now it's starting to disconnect often again. We tend to Skype every single day and it worked fine. But here recently after a few months of having it, the connection is starting to drop every five minutes on Skype now. It also drops quicker when playing The Sims 3. I'm not sure if Sims uses internet or not, but it makes it worse. I'm thinking it's the router, but the person she lives with refuses to get another one. The internet they have is Comcast and it's not limited or anything. I'm not sure what could be wrong with it! Anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

[I'd like for her to run a long ethernet cord along the wall to have a wired connection like I do, but the person she lives with also refuses to do that; I'm stumped on what to do.]

As a first step I would ask the router owner to factory reset the router or at least take off the security reboot router then reapply security. obiviously remove the old wireless connection on the PC's and make them ask for wifi password again.
