Broken pin where? CPU socket, or one of the headers?

If it's in the CPU socket it's non-repairable, however it's possible that the pin is one of the ones which is duplicate - there are at least hundred each of the Vcc and ground pins for example, and one less there doesn't make a major difference.

Pics?

Depending on which pin is broken, the socket may still work fine without it. Or it may not.

Absolutely no chance of replacing the pin or socket, they are assembled and fitted by machines. There's a 10% chance its a duplicate power or gnd pin

But the reason for duplication is not just because they're spare or to handle the current, the cpu is sectioned up to have different grounds for different functions and in critical locations for signal timing etc. So even it it's a duplicate it may still not work.
