I live in India and wanna upgrade my GPU to r9 280x /gtx 770
But they r expancive in India (about 50-100$more :(  )
Si I wanna ask should I get it imported from us by amazon? Both r 300$ only and import duty is 0% so what to do?????

The 280x performs around the same as the gtx 770. Either one is a good choice honestly. If the 280x is cheaper, might just pick that. Just make sure your psu can handle the upgrade.

If there more expensive in india then the import from the USA would be your best bet it might take longer but its worth it

Whichever one's cheaper will do just fine. The extra vRAM in the 280x will help in games with higher AA and what not. But the GTX 770 will perform better with more nVidia optimized games and if you like eye candy, there's PhysX.

I'd also imagine the extra vRAM will probably scale better into the future a bit.

Edit:

In regard to time, it's all about how long you're willing to wait. If you don't mind waiting longer, then by all means, importing to save money would be better for time. Getting in wherever you are is in the case that you really can't wait to upgrade.

Another factor might be in case something happens, but it's still all to the general idea of whether you want to wait longer or get it cause you can't wait.

While making a decision on importing the product, pl make sure that it comes with Int'l warranty. I would humbly recommend you to buy the card from the local store with warranty so that in case of any fault, your predicament may be expedited quickly as in that case RAM process would take less time.

I personally would advise against use of gpuboss. From what I've seen on that website, it tends to favor nVidia cards over AMD's on the same tier.

Thanks u all there will be a warranty issue but I don't think 100$ on warranty for a product that probably couldn't get bad is worth it importing is a good choice and I should get 280x cause of 3gb vram

If VRAM is also deciding factor then better get GTX 770 4GB version.

Your lucky , my country has +27% luxary tax added on extra. I orderd my last rig from new-egg and amazon. Totaly worth it.

Also the PNY GTX 770 4Gb is an awsome card with 5-10fps more then the stock version and it comes with a life-long warenty as long as you register it on their website after your purchase.

If I were you I would wait out that extra 60$ needed , since it is realy worth it.

But if you dont , then I recomend the Pny or EVGA 2gb versions.
