i have an XFX Radeon 7850 black edition gpu and it is idling at about 65 Celsius all the time iv had it about a year and ALL my games are dropping fps to about 10 fps normally i can play planetside 2 on high but i had to drop it and bf3 to the lowest settings just to run them and iv tried de-fragmenting my hdd,cleaning the registry pretty much everything except re-installing windows does anyone have any ideas because im trying to avoid replacing the thermal paste myself because it will void the warranty if anyone has any ideas please suggest because idk what to do

my rig--> m5 a99x evo r2.0,amd fx 6300 black edition,xfx radeon 7850 black edition and and a visiontek 800w psu

Solution
Ohh its for sure a PSU problem Visiontek is a low quality PSU so get a XFX Pro 550w which is manufactured by Seasonic and assembled by XFX. Change the PSU asap.

everything is working in correct order that i can see iv tried everything i know to do it used to idle at 21C about 3 days ago i wonder if it could be the power supply because im noticing lag even in windows menu's and the psu is a visiontek and i saw in alot of places that this brand is pretty unreliable im quite new to pc ive only been on it about 2 years so im learning as i go lol and yes case has good airflow and all three fans im just really confused at what this could be iv also been getting voltage warnings on VCore,+5 volt and 3.3 v i fear this pc is dying on me :{

That Visiontek is for sure a low-quality power supply, but in your case I highly doubt it is the culprit for VGA temperatures. It is probably the culprit for CPU voltages, though, so replace it just to be sure (check BIOS settings just in case before you do). Do the following things to resolve VGA issues:

a) clean the GPU cooler (might be dusty)
b) double check that its fan(s) are working
c) check that the GPU is working on its stock voltage / frequency. You might have overclocked it heavily and forgot about that :D
d) check other fan(s) in your case, you might have poor airflow
e) reapply thermal paste
f) as a last measure, you can replace the cooler with a better aftermarket cooler

i know my thermal paste needs replaced but the pc is spotless when it comes to dust i just gotta wait till the shop opens to get paste i think i might replace the psu anyways considering its low quality if i had known i would have never got it but i wasnt too savvy on pc's back then either...i shut the pc down for a little while and turned it back on and if i don't run anything i idle at 45C but as soon as i start any game or any video it goes to 65C and refuses to go below that no matter how long it sits or anything even if i stop every task i dont need running ...do u think liquid cooling could be what i need? iv thought about just didnt wanna fool around and drown my rig or something lol
