Hey everyone!

I recently bought a second drive because my C: ran out of space, I plugged it in and it worked for a few days then disappeared.

A few months later (now) I plugged it back in and it had the drivers installed for it but the disk itself didn't show it in "my computer"

Is there a solution to this? I tried removing the disk from device manager, but the drivers and the disk seem plugged in even when its not!

Please help, thanks in advance!

Solution
There are two things you need to check.
1st - Open start menu, then right click on 'My Computer'. You can now select the 'Manage' option. Once you're in there, click on the 'Disk Management' menu on the left. You might need to format your drive so it is useable on your computer (NTSF)

2nd - If it's not there, you will need to boot into your BIOS and check for a menu called 'Disk Boot Option' or 'BBS' or something like that. You will be able to select your connected drive and drag it into an empty slot. Higher you set that driver, faster you will be able to recover files from it.

Hope this help.
