Hey guys I currently have the L412 Thinkpad with 2GB RAM,P6200 Pentium Processor.
The Socket type is rPGA989.
Is it possible to upgrade?
If so,what are the processor options I can upgrade to?

Solution
I would recommend upgrading the RAM before considering a CPU upgrade.

Your laptop has two RAM slots that can handle a total of 8GB RAM (2x4GB)

Your laptop supports 2 x PC3-8500/PC3-10600 non-parity DDR3 SODIMM sticks.

More info can be found here (including CPU support) - http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-73415

EDIT: Your laptop should be able to support the i3, i5 and i7 CPUs or any others that are PGA988/989 out of the list provided by lenovo.
