Hello gents.

Simple question.
I have two 120 mm fans that needs to be mounted on a radiator.
What is the best and proper way to connect the fans on the mortherboard?
Do i buy a Y-splitter and connect both fans to the CPU 3-4 pins fan controller.
Or do i put one fan on the CPU connector and the second one on the CPU-opt connector?
Or! Just slap em on a molex connector from the PSU, but i am pretty sure that will make em spin at 100% all the time which is = noise.

Any ideas?

Hey, thanks frickles.

What is CPU_Opt? How does it work?
And second, if i use a Y-splitter, won´t i loose some performance on the fans since there is two fans drawing power from one "output"?

Numerous motherboard manufacturers are adding a 2nd CPU fan connection for your exact circumstance...a cooler with 2 fans CPU_Opt is simply a 2nd place to connect the extra fan. Using a Y splitter shouldn't affect the performance of the fans, as the power output from the onboard header should exceed what 2 fans draw
