Some programs not detecting internet.

Hi guys, so I decided to use my old computer again just to check if it is still usable, I haven't played it for like 5-6 months and I used to play games here. I am not expecting for this to play some new games so i decided to play the games that I have been playing before. (The game is League of legends and is opened through garena) So after opening garena, The dial up connection box appears but I dont use dial up anymore. When I checked the dial up settings, it only opens when there is no internet connection. I thought that some of the programs are not detecting my internet because my browser and torrent program works fine. I searched for some fix on League of Legends because it maybe the problem and not my internet. It says to update my internet explorer. So I decided to download it through softonic and when I opened it, It says that Softonic needs an internet connection but I have one. So I think that some of the programs really dont detect my internet. Some people in other forums recommend me to fix my internet explorer settings because some programs connect to that but to no avail, I also deleted my mcafee because they said that this maybe the reason but this still not worked. Thanks in advance
