Intermittent sound drop out

I just built a system using an ASUS H87M-E Motherboard with an i5 4430 cpu. 8GB Ram. I am running windows 7 64 bit. I am using the Integrated sound (Realtek ALC887) I am losing sound for a few seconds every 30 seconds or so. I miss part of almost every other sentence. I have updated my drivers to the latest version reset the bios. I do not know what could be wrong.

Please help

It seems I have resolved the problem (sort of) I disconnected my front panel audio from the AAFP header. and I have no more sound problems. the only thing is now I have no more front panel audio access. plus now I also do not have any front panel usb either. I do not have any more usb headers on my MB so I am bummed. I will be contacting ASUS support to see if they can help diagnose what is wrong with the AAFP connection. I also am going to try installing a different front panel audio/usb and connect it to the AAFP and see if that may have been the problem. Any other thoughts or comments??
