hi :) ..
i have the following
cpu : phenom 2 x4 955 blackedition
gfx : r9 270
ram : 6 GB
MB : M4A78LT-M-LE-ASUS

i want to upgrade the cpu because i think it bottleneck the gfx ... i`m planing on playn next gen games on 1080p .. should i upgrade my phenom ? .. and if i have to upgrade it .. then fx 6300 will be good or not ? ... i was thinking about getting fx 6300 with MSI 970A-G43 Socket AM3+ Motherboard ... thank you all :)

Solution
FX is a dead end, with no upgrade path. The FX 6300 would be a bit better, but you are limited to an FX 8320 for any upgrades. I would recommend an i3 4150 with an H97 board for broadwell support, or with an ASRock H81M-DGS R2.0 to at least be able to handle all current Haswell and Haswell Refresh CPU's.

i searched and we only have Intel Core I3-4130 Haswell 3.4GHz LGA 1150 54W Dual-Core in egypt .. no 4150 in our market and the price is the same as fx6300 but the i3 is dual core .. is that will be handle the new gen games ??

The i3 4130 is also a very capable CPU. It is a dual core with hyperthreading. Intel's per core performance is higher than AMD's. An FX 6300 isn't a bad chip, but it has to be overclocked to be an i3, or be in a very multithreaded situation. Watch Dogs is touted as the first next gen title. FX 6300 bested an i3 3220 by a whopping 4fps. Considering that the i3 4130 is a faster clock and has the slight performance advantage of Haswell over Ivy, the i3 4130 would easily match, or beat the FX, unless the FX is overclocked.

:( i do not know , i understand you but i think i can not change my quad core phenom with a dual core i3 .. and i read that the upcoming games will need more than 4 core to go smooth ..

An i3 4130 would be a good deal more powerful than your Phenom. Event he old i3 3225 was better. If AMD were releasing more CPU's for AM3+, I would probably have a different opinion. Paired with an H97 board, you have a full range of upgrade options of current CPU's and for broadwell next year. AMD is already behind, and it isn't going to get any better.
