I just bought a new computer but I dont have any thing to make it able to connect to the internet.
I got a like 5 year old Windows XP Linksys wifi card PCI but I don't know if Windows 8.1 will work with that (personally I dont think so but I want to be sure)
So can anyone help with that?

Solution
The MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming I know for a fact does not have a PCI slot, only PCI Express 16x and 1x. So you would need to get a PCI-Express 1x Wireless card or a USB wireless stick.

I assume your meaning your UNKNOWN computer (you didn't provide any specs on) has no Wifi built in? Did you check your manuals, most desktops do include Wifi built in, but ALL computer include Ethernet (wires) port. Have you tried to connect that first to make sure all is in working order?

As for Wifi, go to Walmart/Best Buy, go to Electronics, BUY USB Wifi Adapter, go home, install CD, install Adapter, now new computer has Wifi.

His rig is in his sig.

Wasn't sure if that is the "bought a new computer' or not, he could been referencing his Lenovo Tablet he had in addition to his sig, as far as I knew, so is why I presented that way. Still same answer anyway, use NIC, then Walmart run.
