Hello.

I've got myself a reliable system for my competitive gaming needs. However, I've been reading up on some cooling setups for different cases and I was wondering what the best fan config would be, just so I can squeeze every bit of performance out of my rig. I currently have:

Front:
MID-level:120mm Stock Fan, hard drive bay removed, intake
Bottom: Old H55 120mm Fan blowing against Hard drive bay, intake

Top:
Towards the front:Stock 120mm fan-intake
towards the back: Corsair AF140mm Quiet Edition airflow fan-intake

Bottom:
None

Side Panel:
Bottom: Stock 120mm

Back:
Corsair H55 Rad w/ SP120mm High Performance-exhaust

Here are some pics for visual purposes

Side Panel: http://puu.sh/9CbaA/8ea862b6d6.JPG
Front: http://puu.sh/9CbfD/66b34df2ed.JPG

So yeah, just wondering what would be the best config for the best temps. All the fans are running on the "Silent" mode in the Asus Bios, minimum rpm is 600. The rad fan is running at full speed via molex adapter. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Ditch the side fan completely and change the tops to exhaust. 6 fans is WAY overkill for this setup. Even 3 (front intake, top exhaust, rear exhaust with H55) would likely not even change the temps at all.

Hello. You have a fairly decent setup, but more positive pressure means less dust. It is optimal to have a fan controller if you have those many fans, but if they are PWM controlled and controllable through software, then you are fine. Just a lot of front intake, some rear exhaust, and if possible top exhaust. The fan on the side panel is kind of disturbing the airflow, so might want to move that to the front.

No problem. It would help if you got some corsair static pressure fans. Might want to invest in those. For the radiator, the SP fans are good, but for case fans, AF fans are better

Mhm, I've already got myself a High Performance SP one for my rad and one AF one for my case. I do realize it's better, I just don't have the moolah right now and I think the stock fans do the job well enough. But thanks for all your help.

Sure. Just want to make it like this

The better fans are actually just optional. They are slightly quieter and a little bit better thermals. They are good if you have some extra money.

I just got around to removing the side fan, making the radiator fan a pull instead of push (dust), and changing the direction of the top fans to exhaust. These are my temps at idle: http://puu.sh/9Ekoc/7e854aa806.png

The GPU actually got up to 40c idle...a bit hotter.

The thing is that the gpu will be a small bit hotter, but overall dust will be less, airflow will optimal, and all in all a quieter, less dusty pc. Is it an okay trade for you?
