I only get £5 a week

Been waiting 3 years for a PC that will run bf4 at max.

Only got £80 saved and my dad keeps buying old pc's not worth upgrading.

I am totally stuck if I buy all parts and build my own it will take time.
And I can't afford one right now. For like another 3 years.

And no I can't get a job as I still got 2 years till I can legally get a job plus who would trust a kid mowing someone's grass?

You might be best getting a job, mowing lawns or something, or convince your Dad to not buy crap computers.

Simple...you can't...well, not for another several years. Why don't you get a part time job or sell your things.

3 letters:

J
O
B

Are you local to me? Come over and cut my grass. $25.

ADD: Another $15 if you help me move some furniture upstairs. You have to take the heavy end, though.

How long is 'long enough'?
How old might you be?

So, you saved £5 every week in those three years? Only got £80 saved? I'm familiar with American currency but, from what I can see from PCPartPicker, £80 won't be enough for anything, you need way more money than that.

Any kind of job would do, mowing grass, shoveling snow, a cashier at a local store, it doesn't even have to be traditional employment. You could ask for a higher allowance but that will still take you awhile.

This is called expectation vs reality, you may need to get used to it :(

Others in my class have gaming pc's and they got them well before me.
There parents just bought them there's.

Yet my dad will just keep buying computers contains 2gb ram old processors and motherboards.
There not worth upgrading.

So then build a small neighborhood business around those. Take whatever they are, and refurbish them. Buy them from dad for £20, spend time fixing them up, sell to someone else for £50.

£5/week is not going to get you anywhere.

There so rubbish that if I sold them someone would come back with it a week later and say something went on it.

Why are decent gaming pc's so expensive anyway?

I don't want more rubbish.

Then you did not build/refurbish them properly. A lot of people want just a plainjane PC for email and Facebook. Can you provide that for them?

No one is going to 'give' you money for a new uber gaming PC. You have to go earn it.
Me and Bill Gates are the same age. He has way more stuff than me. Way more stuff than anyone else on the planet. Do you see me in here bitching about I should have the same stuff as he does?

Go earn money. Oh...and stay in school.

I don't even have a allowance. Yet I already have a similar plan to refurbish PC's(just got one that is already up and running on Zorin OS).

Your Plan:
1)Ask for 10-15 Pounds a week.
2) Put up signs saying you fix and refurbish PC's.
3) Do small jobs on the side, like mowing lawns.
4) Stay in School.

No but how do I play with my friends on such a rubbish pc?

Plus £20 broken pc's would take time to repair they would probably be very bad.

If my dad was a better guy I would be able to get one right now but I can't.

Plus I used to just get £2 pocket money unlikely he would give £10 or £15

Yes. That it what is called a 'job'. Taking time to perform a service that someone will pay you for, or create an object to sell.

As far as trusting a kid to cut my lawn? The 11 year old across the street from me earns $25 a pop doing exactly that...cutting my lawn.

You could speed things along if you lowered your requirements. Given that your income is so low a target of 'BF4 at medium' would happen twice as fast as 'BF4 at max', it's a very demanding game

Not really. The PC I got was only worth 20 bucks. The only thing wrong was that it had a broken copy of Windows XP(Bad master boot record). The whole process of putting a OS on my USB and installing it to the computer took only 10 minutes. And despite it's processor from 2002, it runs very nicely. It can even play the 3D games that came with the OS. I could turn it into an HTPC as well since it is small enough. I just have to put on another OS.
What you might be facing is a bad PSU or bad CPU. In that case you tell them what is wrong, they buy the parts, and you install them, and charge about 25-30 pounds depending on the job.

Here is a small price chart that you can use and expand on(I am in the US and my prices in pounds may be unreasonable).

New Computer Set Up: 45 pounds
Computer Maintenance: 30 pounds(Includes Virus and Malware removal, speeding up a computer, and adding antivirus and antimalware programs).
Computer Building: 30 pounds per hour(you pay for your parts)
Adding Parts: 10 to 20 pounds depending on the parts
Free consultation over the phone.
I charge 5 pounds to come to your home and look at the computer. This covers the gas.

Also, look at my current rig in my specs. Worse than anything I've seen. Worse than yours I am sure. Especially because it is a slim form factor and I cant get a new PSU or replace it because the case is literally BOLTED down.

A few years ago, I obtained a reasonably new Sony VAIO laptop for $50. Core 2 Duo, 160GB SSD, etc, etc. What was wrong with it? The owner had, against my direct advice, downloaded and installed several cracked/torrented applications.

Result. Out a 160GB drive, he had 50MB free. Completely virused up.

Solution. Wipe and reinstall an OS.
It worked as my primary PC for 3 years. I could have sold it for $300 or more. From a $150 investment ($50 for the hardware, $100 for an OS. Or zero for the OS if I put Linux on it)

Just after that, I obtained another desktop PC. $50, incl 17" monitor, mouse/keyboard/speakers. 5 years later, it still serves as my main house firewall box. I could probably sell a bunch of those for $200 each, if properly set up as a "Secure house firewall !"

Exactly, USAFRet made a piece of crap into a miracle that works. THAT is a good pitch to customers.
