Oh no a dreaded Acer laptop no doubt.
If it is there are a heck of a lot of them that have failed due to this.
The norm is the keyboard stops working and the touch pad also in some cases.
Its another Nec tokin problem.
Some guy got it working by taking the battery out and running his laptop off the mains charger if memory serves me.
