I currently have a 23" monitor with a native resolution of 2048*1152, from Dell. I'm considering getting a new ~23" monitor with a native res. of 1080p. I would like some suggestions in the way of either specific models and/or brands I should be looking into.
I also would like to have a webcam, so if a monitor comes with one built-in, that'd be useful, otherwise, I wouldn't mind suggestions for specific models and/or brands for a webcam as well.

Thanks for any assistance!

Your resolution seems unusual.

If you can, buy an exact duplicate of what you have. In expanded desktop mode you wil then be able to seamlessly drag windows from one to the other.
If the displays are different you will see window sizes changing and differences in colors.

Unfortunately my setup doesn't really have space for a 2nd monitor. At best I really just have a TV immediately to the right of my monitor now, which I could connect if I really wanted to.

I misunderstood; I thought you were adding a second side monitor.
What is wrong with your current monitor?

1080P is 1920 x 1080 which is a lesser resolution that what you have now.

What is your budget?

If possible, consider a 27" 2560 x 1440 monitor.
Here is one:

You can get them for even less direct shipped from Korea. Look on ebay.

On the webcam, I don't know of any that have an integrated web cam. Plan on buying a discrete unit.

To clear up my reasons, as you said, my resolution is unusual, and so it wasn't always graciously supported by some games I had. I'd be going down to 1080p because that is more usual, not to mention the lesser resolution I trust would at least extend the usefulness of my build, not that it would be the greatest impact.

For quick reference, specs include:
GTX 780 Ti (MSI OC Edition)
i5-2500K @ 4.2GHz
8GB @ 1600MHz

Your specs are wonderful and can run any resolution monitor, possibly even a 4k monitor.
A 2560 x 1440 monitor will be a supported resolution for any game.
If your budget permits, why not a 30" 2560 x 1600 monitor?
I ordered a yamakasi Sparta 301 directly from Korea via ebay. It arrived within the week. No defective pixels.
If you want US support, the Nixeus vue 30" unit is also of high quality and recommended. I have both.
They appear to be equally good to me.

Forgot to answer your previous question, sorry, my budget is no problem, price isn't too much of a concern.
Thanks for the help, will look into those, though if anybody else has any suggestions, wouldn't mind knowing recommended webcams I should look into.
