Hey guys, I just noticed that I got a bit of a problem. I recently bought a nice asus 1080p monitor that I currently run as primary screen. Since I now have an old monitor (1680x1050) siting dust, I decided to use it as a 2nd monitor. The setup was smooth, everything works right.

My problem is: since ive started using my 2nd monitor, my 560 ti, while doing nothing at all, idles at full clock speed, mem speed and voltages, as if im running something in the background.

My question is: Is that normal? Do I need to do something more so it stops doing so or my card simply is in fault?

I dont want it to run at full speed always, it idles at around 50c and its a dcuII cooler.

Thanks for your time,

Jerome

The latest drivers are installed. Not sure what you mean with check the settings, in GPU tweak it runs at full clock speed, etc etc with 0% gpu usage. Downloaded MSI afterburner to see if it was a problem but its the same.

Ive tried a lot of stuff, unplugging, changing stuff around, reinstalling drivers, nothing. It just sits at full clock speed at idle.
