but you didn't help. you didn't explain. ive saw u post on multiple threads about the supernova 1000g2 are u working for evga or something lol.

ive tried multiple PSU consumption calculators and they say for my setup I need 800-830 watts with an OC processor. why on earth why I need 1000w this could power SLI x3

According to this link, you should have a minimum of 1000watts for 2 R9 290's in Crossfire:
http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
The R9 290's are can use almost 300W at full load, plus the 84Watts for your processor, plus everything else in your system. You might get away with your 850 psu, but you won't have much if any headroom for any overclocking, turbo boost, heat, nor-over the long time period-the slow degradation of the PSU (I'm talking years for this to happen, usually).
If you already own the 850, I would probably give it a try. If you are buying a new power supply, I would look at a 1000 watt unit. EVGA's Supernova P2 1000 got good reviews, Antec High Current Gamer is good, Corsair AX versions, Seasonic and XFX are all good.

hmmmm I can get a ax860 really cheap. like dirt cheap but have to be fast. im not too fused for headroom cuz I 100% wont be doing sli x3. I wouldn't overclock the cards but a small overclock on my CPU
