I got a new computer and I play on a tv , I will eventually change to a regular monitor. I did my research and I should be able to get better performance, unless i've been researching the wrong stuff. For example I have a gtx 760ti and I read its equivalent to gtx 670. So every video/article I look at I look at the 670 performance. I try to play bioshock infinite on high the fps is low, please help if i'm doing something wrong and thank you in advanced

What model TV do you have and what connector type are you using? HDMI?

What game settings are you using? The Nvidia Geforce Experience app from NVIDIA is actually pretty useful for optimizing games. I'd guess somehow your AA is turned way up. I have a 760 (reference design card) also hooked up to a 1080p TV and in Bioshock I can run it at ultra with AA turned down somewhat at around 60fps.

Is your tv plugged into the back of the graphics card or the back of the motherboard? Make sure it is plugged into the graphics card
Update your graphics drivers
What power supply do you have for powering the GPU?
Make sure your computer is not set to power saving or something, that usually slows graphics performance.

Just to check, the Geforce experience shows the 'optimized' and all graphics drivers are up to date?

Any idea of GPU temperatures, anything that might be causing it to throttle?
Does the low FPS happen in all games?

Have you tried a frame rate counter such as FRAPS or FCAT? Trying to determine if the problem is with the video card or on the TV side (if it's a low refresh rate or something??)

Geforce experience has the optimized symbol, but I think I only have 1 driver? I dont how to find out the temp of the gpu, the fps dosen't happen in all games, but most. FRAPS I heard of, I'll check it out.

The fact that the FPS issue isn't in all games (if they are similar style/demand on the hardware), would point to settings or driver software issues.

Maybe try downloading the latest driver from the Nvidia website and do a full uninstall of drivers and then clean install using the new download?

I can't remember the exact settings, I'm not home right now, but I hit the 'optimize' button for the GeForce experience and I know it was on ultra with everything at maximum other than the anti-aliasing which I think was on the first or second option.

I'll update with the exact settings later this evening.
