About a week ago my pc started to drop from 60 fps to 3 fps after playing for about 10 minutes on any game, i tried with dark souls, sniper elite and risk of rain, this games allways run perfectly on my pc but now i cant play because of lag. When i restart my pc the problem gets fixed but again after 10 minutes of play the lag begins and i cant play. I tried cleaning my pc it was really dusty but that didnt fix the problem. I also noticed that my disk usage on the task manager was 100% when i was idle, could this be the base of the problem?

My pc specs: 8gb ram, nvidia geforce gtx 760 1.5 gb, quadcore intel i.7 3.4 ghz.

please help

sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean with hdd activity led? and where is my swap file?
Malwarebytes didnt detect any malware but it quarantined some files and deleted the files

There will be a small LED (a light) on the front of your PC that flickers while the hard drive is active. If it is on solid, that could mean your drive is "stuck" trying to read or write.
The Windows swap file, or virtual memory, is where Windows pages pieces of programs to disk that are not needed, to make room for pieces that are. Its size is set in the Performance settings for your PC, accessed under the Properties for your PC.

If MalwareBytes quarantined anything, you may indeed have been infected. How is your PC running now?

yeah the thing is that my pc is an alienware x51 and it doesnt have that led and how do i delete and recreate the swap file? an after the malware bytes quarantine hte pc hasn changed a bit on performance

Update
I searched how to delete the file so i went to advanced setings unchecked the Autamaticaly manaage paging file for al drives and then checked no paging file but when i press set windows gives me a warning so i dont know what would happen if i do it

Update 2
I deleted and recreated the file and tried playing, now it took the pc 11 minutes to start laging, i also searched for the disk led and i noticed a blue light coming from inside the pc on the location of the disk it was not solid, i think this is the led you are saying but it was not solid, i checked the disk usage when the game sarted laging and it was only 2% then it came up to 15% an then to 82% an then to 100% after that it droped again and the same thing hapened, i also noticed that when the game started to lag the pc started to make the usual noises that it makes when i play a game but i closed the game and the pc is still in that kind of "game mode" making a lot of noise, this didnt happen a few weeks ago so this must be part of the problem. I cheked again with malwarebytes and it didnt found any virus
