I recently saved $6.000 for a computer, I had to sell my ultimate gaming/editing computer 1year ago because my Ex needed to buy worthless fake decor, sold a $3,500 PC i spent 6months building and compiling.. for $750.00 after only having it for 2months... I've regretted it everyday, until now!
now i can have revenge! now my DAY HAS COME! sympathize with me, i have a shotty job.. ive worked to the bone to save this money, and i want to blow it in the absolute best way possible!

Help me build a $4.500 2K Editing/Gaming PC, I've already picked out 144FPS 2k Monitor from ASUS and other accessories that i wanted for myself..

the computer will be in a ROSEWILL BLACKHAWK ULTRA CASE, only because my old computer was, and in memory of it.. we will build it in the same case!
Also something that can not be changed, i plan on focusing on cooling.. i love it, especially fans and simply the CPU being water cooled..

Build It and i will send pictures! + benchmarks for your help!

Thank You! Much Love!

Ah the stubbornness of AMD users. 4.5k is more than enough to build a great gaming rig, you could even do it with 2.5k, easily.

Was going to help, but seeing as you're dead set on that space heater, I wish you the best of luck.

2k? 2k video?

Your budget is closer to a 4k build, but that processor wont keep the bitrate high enough upon rendering to give you a steady fps final video.

No offense but 4k video 'needs' a intel i7 six core processor. No doubt. 2k you might be able to get away with an overclocked 8320 (which is your 9590).
I love amd, and I have no problems with my 8350 clocked at 5.2ghz on all 8 cores.
But I just started doing 4k video, and had to stop until I can get a better processor. My cpu cant render frames fast enough, so my final 4k video fluctuates from 4-30 fps, all the time. Makes for very glitch, very crap final product.

I'd go and recommend i7 4930k, asus rampage black vi or deluxe motherboard, corsair dominator platinum 2133mhz 32-64gb (whatever you can afford and make ram disk for scratch disk with whats left over), sli titan black, Samsung 840 pro 256gb-512gb for os/programs, 4x4tb wd blacks in raid for media and rendering, 1x4tb wd black for files, and evga 1200/1300 psu gold/platinum. That should be just over your budget, but 'ideal' 4k build.

So by 2k you mean a 1440p monitor and not a 4k monitor right?
Also, why are you stuck on the FX-9590? Not only is it extremely expensive and runs extremely hot, but it's not much better than a FX-8350 (It's practically just a factory overclocked 8350). At this budget, Intel processors are far more superior.

-The i7-4930k is an extremely strong processor for editing. Pair that with 32gb of RAM and you should be able to do whatever you want with this.
-The Noctua NH-D15 is the best air cooler out there right now and can compete with a lot of the CLC. At this budget, I would seriously recommend doing a custom water loop, but it is up to you. I would choose the NH-D15 over any CLC because it cools just as efficiently and quieter (not to mention that there is no chance of leaking with a heatsink).
-I added a 250gb SSD for OS and programs and a 2tb HDD for storage. Now if you plan to write a lot on the SSD (like edit work in progress files on the SSD and then move it to the HDD once it's completed), then you would want to go for the 840 Pro version because it is much more suited to writing than the EVO.
-SLI GTX 780 ti is probably the strongest set-up for gaming right now.

i love what you've suggested! you really seem to know your stuff, and that comes with alot of time..
here's my revision, let me know what you think.. i think its perfect, but i dont know ssd's very well - and so fourth.

CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($559.99 @ SuperBiiz)

-The Corsair H80i isn't a very good cooler, to be honest. The Noctua NH-D15 easily outperforms the H80i, is quieter, and cheaper.
-There's really no need for a 1tb SSD, seriously. SSDs are suppose to be a premium drive and only used for programs and OS because they're so expensive. Sure you have the money for it, but you're more like wasting your money because you either 1. won't utilize the space or 2. store un-necessary files on the SSD that won't benefit from the speed. At most, I would get a 500gb.
-You don't need the expensive Constellation drive. It's extra features are pointless for a regular desktop.
-The GTX Titan Black isn't really a good card for gaming. It's more of a compute card. A single GTX 780 ti outperforms a single GTX Titan Black in games and about half the price. SLI GTX 780 tis will wreck the Titan Black.
-There's no point of going with the Corsair AX1200i because it's complete overkill even for SLI. 1000w is already a lot even for SLI. Also, spending an extra ~$150 just for the extra 200w is kind of pointless.
-Lastly, Windows 7 only supports up to 16gb, so you need Windows 8.1 to utilize 32gb.

The titan black is better middle ground for editing and gaming. It cant game as good as a 780ti no, but will be close, and with sorkstation class drivers and double precision offered on the titan black, the 780ti just cant even hold up anywhere close to the titan black for editing.

Really depends on what kind of editing OP will do. A Titan Black may be better as a workstation card, but in the end, it can't utilize a 144hz 1440p monitor and the monitor will mostly be a waste of money. Depending on the editing, a GTX 780 ti may be fine.

Also, Windows 8.1 is more optimized than Windows 7. A good amount of games show a 10fps increase on Windows 8.1 over Windows 7. You can always get a program like Start8 to make Windows 8.1 look like 7.

Do video editing programs actually make use of the Titan Black's DP performace, or woudl it be just the same as a 780ti, but with 6gb?
Because I believe it would actually be better to have SLI 2x780ti than one Titan black, for almost all uses... OP, would you really make good use of the double precision, or you just want it for single precision CUDA?
If the second case is correct, it would still be WAY better to have 2 780ti...

BTW, I agree with windows 8 being the best choice. Personally I won't install it, and will just hope for a Windows 9 that I like... Still, I would recommend Windows 8 for anyone else. Was just trying to make a point, in case OP prefers windows 7 as well.

i agree with the SSD part! its a waste of money, as for the cooler, i had a h80i on a FX-8350 and it kept it below 5c on full load! crazy right?

you'd be surprised what shows up in an editing program because of two in SLI, and single card is the best for editing.. and the titan provides both gaming and editing for what i want.
