for casual music which is better audio-technica ath-m50 or v-moda crossfade lp?

i mainly listen to hard rock, classical (though its not a deal breaker), and pop.
i do realize i will need to burn them in

p.s. at the moment the audio-technicas are $110 while the v-moda crossfades are &130 on amazon

Neither of them are particularly good for rock, both are fairly bass heavy, with the m50s being the flatter and less extreme of the two of them, with better mids and highs. so i would go with the m50s if i had to chose between them for rocks/classical. I honestly think the response of the V-moda lp's is extremely lopsided and only suited for dubtep and electronica or similar.
