Core i5 4690 is going to run in a h87/h81 motherboard?

Sorry to ask this noob question, but i`m going to buy a new CPU/mobo and im not sure about this. If i buy the core i5 4690 (the locked version) will run in a h87/h81 mobo? All parts are new so i can´t do a bios update,

Its better to choose a Motherboard that is newer and you are sure no BIOS update is required! (like H97)
Be careful,if you have to update your BIOS,you need to grab an older cpu which has the same socket and update your bios using that (about ASUS mobos,you have to update the BIOS through a software in driver disk,otherwise it wouldn't work) and then install your new cpu!
