Every time the pc starts up after it shut down I get Thea etter Message; Power supply surges detected during the previous power on. Asus Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit! Press f1 to Run SETUP

I got a cosair 650rm power supply with a asus h87m-plus motherboard. I have a radeon 280x 3gb graphics card. Ask if you need more specs as I have no or low experience with computer parts and ext.

Do I need a bigger powersupply?
Do I need to update my bios or change a fan? Please help

Hi - Yes the RM series uses budget level caps in the secondary filtering stage, but the Asus
anti surge feature is very often too sensitive. Asus tech's have even recommended on occasion to
turn this feature off in BIOS.

I would however, if the PSU is still in warranty RMA it. If the issue persists with another unit, then I'd turn the
anti surge off in BIOS. Do you have another PSU you can try in the meantime?
