Hello all, looking for some feedback on a list of components for my first PC build. I'm trying to build a performance gaming PC with reliability and a bit of longevity. Currently I have no plans to overclock any of these parts, however the option has been figured in for when I get more confidence building and playing with the clock settings.

The focus of this PC is to play Star Citizen on ultra/high settings primarily. My price range is pretty wide, between 1000 and 2000.

And so, into the meat of this thread...

Motherboard - Asus Maximus VII Hero LGA 1150 Z97

Processor - Intel i7-4790

RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8GB DDR3

Video Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4GB (single cadd for now, perhaps SLI in the future, possibly 3+1 monitor setup

Hard Drive - WD Black 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB cache SATA III

SSD - Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SATA III

Power Supply - Corsair HX750 80Plus Gold certified Modular Power Supply

Thanks for your help!

If you want the option of overclocking you will need the k verison of the i7-4790 (4790k) since that has the unlocked multiplier. Also, you can consider this power supply also (10 yr warranty and stellar reviews):

Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.99 @ NCIX US)

I went for 850w since that would be enough to accommodate SLI gtx 770s

Looks like a pretty sweet build to me.
