Ram with my cpu?

I bought the corsair vengence red ddr3 8 (2x4gb) and I looked at the package and it says supports "Intel core i7 and i5. I have an fx 8350. Will this work and why does it say that!

It will work just fine. It says that for marketing purposes. They do this to help those who already have those processors feel more confident to purchase but in effect confuses other consumers like yourself.
