Asus ROG Mars760 or single EVGA GTX 780 Classified?

I can't choose between the two GPUs, I can either go for the Mars760 and SLI later (requiring a beefier power supply) or 2 780s on my asus maximus vii (for he future).
What are the advantages and disadvantages, or in all, which one is better? They are both the same price (In fact the mars 760 is now $680 so it is a wee bit cheaper than the 780 classified).

Solution
My opinion on mars 760 vs single 780 from evga, clearly the evga card. The mars runs at a higher fan speed, higher temp(remember this is two gpus getting cooled, not just one) and at a higher power draw, possibly making you need a bigger psu, should not be a problem in most systems though.
Having a single stronger GPU is generally always better than a dual weaker GPU. If you can afford the 780 now I would go with that and SLI at a later time once the 780 prices drop. SLI has issues with some games and some games don't even use SLI so you are paying for nothing. Just bragging rights in some games.

He was about to take a Mars760x2 speaking of power-hungry , heat and all others.
A r9 290x overperforms a gtx 780 at cheaper price and its slighly under a gtx780ti(or titan black).
Also a aftermarket 290x is about under 550$ and its cooler . Nvidia are way too arogant with their prices , and they are not worth from the performance/price point of view really.
Also note that the mars2 760x2 (mind the memory botlleneck at 1440p and 2180p ) is very driver dependant so it can have 75% scalability to be even worth.

OK... Orrrrr back in reality we could be a tad bit truthful, eh?

Sorry to say but the r9 290x is absolutely notorious for kind of noise, heat and power that makes people go with nvidia.

BTW, aftermarket nvidia cards provide a real boost in performance instead of trying to cover up bad reference design.

I get tired of people who expect to pay the same low price when the performance is clearly better. I bet you're the type of person who complains about advertising on free to air TV ;-)

I agree with the ACX cooler being crap; it's loud and can't cool anything.

As ive said the aftermarket versions are way quieter and way cooler than reference one.
Also mantlle support makes them as fast as 780ti.
As for power consumption they both consume more or less the same energy for the same performance.
Nvidia are just trolling around with their prices with the gtx700's

Do not even go there. It is possibly freaking 5$ a year you miss? and not even that.

Noise and power draw. 780 and r9 290 close in power draw average, and r9 290x and 780ti are close in power draw.

Unless your electricity is unbelievably expensive, the 290 is a viable option - and look at the power draw! 5 watt more than 780. The 290x is a little bit more hungry, but i dont see the point of a 290x when a 290 is cheaper. The performance difference is so small

You may be right about case heat, but the video i linked showed the noise. Not bad eh? The reference coolers sucks, (the asus one runs hot as fk) but tri-x, toxic and vapor-x from sapphire keeps it in the 70's no problem.
