I have gainward gtx 460se and i will buy amd fx-8350 in few days. Will it be enough chieftec power suply from 550w to run this together?

EDIT: Btw i have one more question, what´s the diffetence betwen GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 rev.1.1 and GA-990XA-UD3 rev. 3.0 ? I see rev 1.1 have higher price, but i dont see diffences, im planing to buy one of these two motherboards to run my FX :)

In theory, yes. In practice, Chieftec is not a particularly good PSU brand and may have a hard time.

More wattage is never a bad thing if you think you will need it in the future. The questions you have to ask yourself are as listed. Do you plan on overclocking the CPU? Do you plan on using dual GPU's? And what is your budget?

Here is the PSU I would go with if it were me. It is made by one of the most respected names in PSU's. And would last you quite some time. I have not heard of chieftec, but I would guess that it is on the cheaper side of the scale. I know and trust XFX PSU's. They have a great reputation.

But the main question is what is your budget?

Chieftec is popular brand in Serbia, my country. I have this PSU http://static.migom.by/img/articles/1677/img_5281.jpg

Im not planing to overclock, 4 ghz will be more than enoguh for me, and i will stick with single GPU for now... My budget is 330€, with these money i found fx 8350, GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 , and 8gb RAM.

Ok then definitely go with the PSU I listed above. You won't be disappointed. I promise! But if you already have it, give it a try until it fails. 550W should be plenty enough to power your system though. It all depends on the amount of Amps on the 12V rail.

Ok, i ll give it a try. Thanks for the answers. Since we're here, I do not want to open up a new topic, I'll ask here. Beside fx 8350, is the motherboard "AM3+ GIGABYTE GA-990XA-UD3 rev.3.0" good choice ?

Yup, looks like a pretty nice board to me. A little old, but still not bad.
