Hello, I am getting a Samsung Evo 840 SSD 120gb. In my PC I have an hdd already. I wanted to know how do I install that ssd for storage only. No boot up or nothing. I want to storage like games or a couple of programs. Also, what I got in mind so far is to install it like a GPU and transfer my games over. I doubt that though.

Thanks!

Yes. OS and applications on the SSD.
A 120GB drive (I have one) can hold the OS and most/all of your applications besides games.

How to do it?
Fresh install on the new SSD. There are various migration tools, but the fail potential is far greater doing that over just a fresh install on the new drive.
you should put your operating system on the SSD and a few select programs/games only. As Swifty stated above, it is usually done the other way. SSD for the operating system (and maybe a few games but don't get anywhere near filling it up) and the HDD for your programs and files.

Backing up a little bit.....this is an HP with a preinstalled Windows 8 OS?
That makes things a little more difficult.

Is the code in the windows rating screen? You know where the computer has like rating of its performance and then when you scroll down you see a product key..is that it?
