Correct adapters for gtx780?

Hi guys,


I just installed my new gpu, but it's my first time doing something like this. It's an evga gtx 780 with a 6 pin and an 8 pin adapter. Do I have to use both? I put in a 6pin and a 6+2pin. Is that ok?
