What slots do I install memory into?

I have an ASUS A88X-PLUS mobo and two 4gb DDR3 DIMM's. Do I install both DIMM's in Channel A or one in Channel A and one in Channel B? Why? Or does it not matter?

It doesnt matter which channel you use as long as you stagger, since that gives the best performance. I.E install one skip a slot and install the second so they end up in both gold slots or both black slots
