monitor won't turn on with new system

Solution
This may ir not be relevant, but is the cpu getting power. Try unplugging and replugging the cpu power connector. try a different pci-e slot. reset mobo battery

Try checking the settings on the tv. Also plug the hdmi into mobo then enter bios and disable integrated graphics and enable dedicated gpu. Reboot and then plug hdmi into the gpu

Hey 'Dorky1'..... that mobo don't come with an IGP.....

JacobB: Make sure of these things....
1: The HDMI that you have chosen in the the Tele's settings is the one that comes from the rig.
2: The GPU's Power is connected to it.
3: Do you hear any post beep/beeps?

Try plugging it in to other tvs or monitors to figure out whether the problem is the computer or the tv.

Again... foot in mouth 'Dorky1' that happens to be one of the best Mobo's out there..... get out of the stone age....and out of your cave

Another thing JacobB : Make sure you're using a compatible HDMI cable ..... not a cheap 5$ one....
The Sapphire card uses a 1.4a HDMI cable, but I have my doubts about the telly.... What is the Sony's Model

the gpu definitely has power to it via 2 x 8pin connectors, yes it is the correct setting on the tele and no theres no beeps, because it doesn't come with a speaker unless the case has one built in

even with vga it won't work (my tv only has 1 vga) could it be the cpu? wouldn't it need a cpu to product beeps and whatnot

How many times in your life have you powered up a Laptop or PC????? JB.....
Each and everytime you hit the power, there have always been beeps.....
You already have a CPU in your rig I believe it's a Core i7.....
A simple step you have been told to do... unplug the HDMI cable from the Xbox end and plug it into your Sapphire....
Then set the TV to the Xbox HDMI input, and boot the rig....
Give us a result here...

And what VGA are you talking about , the card doesn't have a VGA Port on it.

Solution
It is certainly not good...
Who built the system for you?
Did you do it yourself?
If so, it's time you undid the whole thing and redo everything step by step after reading the documentation.

Before you end up frying something on that mobo...
If you're not too good at it, I'd suggest getting a techie friend to help you out or then just go for a techie....

Dude, if alyoshka didn't have the solution, then unselect his best solution. And look a few posts up. I said to check if the cpu is getting power.
