Hi everyone, I want to know what would be the best fan for a cheap price for airflow for the Antec Three Hundred Two?
I also want to know what do you look for when you buy a case fan? From what I've been reading on NCIX's product reviews, some fans do not generate as much CFM as advertised, so how would I know what to get before buying one?

I'm looking to spend between $1-15 for a fan that generates as much air flow as possible. Noise doesn't bother me that much maybe, but preferably under 35 dbA! I just don't want to be hearing loud fan noises when my computer is on a light work load.

Please let me know what fan would be the best for the price and tell me the reason why you chose it! :)

THANKS ERRRBODY

for the Antec 300 case, it's only 120mm's and 140mm's but I'm looking for about 4 120mm's. Led don't matter since the case is a closed case no glass or anything, so no led preferably. Thanks for answering my post :)

Buy two of these twin packs. The fans are also on sale. they are the Corsair AF120. In total with the sale, I am pretty sure the fans are $11 each. They feature a Hydraulic bearing (good bearing), the have rubber corners, and they are fairly quiet while moving a lot of air. For $11 per fan, it is the best deal that you are going to get. (Note that they are not PWM fans, if you would like PWM let me know).

What could you suggest for PWM fans? the fans you suggested me only move 39 CFM, isn't that very little?

Hi Andyandyy
The bitfenix spectre pro's push more cfm than the af120's and are quieter

Bitfenix spectre pro 120mm 56.22 CFM @ 18.9dba
Corsair AF quiet edition 52.19 CFM @ 25.2dba
Aerocool DS 54.8 CFM @ 15.8dba
The aerocool DS are a nice quiet fan but do not have the same CFM and are expensive

For the price the spectre pro's are the same as the corsair AF but lots cheaper than the aerocool DS
in the 140mm range is where the spectre pro's really start to leap ahead in CFM

The coolermaster jetflo LED 120mm have the highest cfm @ 95 CFM
but at 36dba at 12v they sound like a leaf blower
even with a voltage reducer at 7v they are still a noisy 28 dba

It is a fair amount. I am talking about $11 per fan and a good quality fan. You can't beat that price.

For a PWM fan, I would go a bit over $15. The best possible fan I would reccomend for PWM, would be the Noctua NF-S12A PWM which provide 63.3 CFM at a VERY quiet level of noise. You also get a 7 year warranty, and the highest quality parts available. Noctua's stats are more accurate, where as many companies are a bit generous when it comes to specs. These fans are the best in town when it comes to airflow.

Honestly, don't pay attention to specs, because a company can generally put whatever they want on them. So they can be accurate or not accurate. This is usually with DB's but I am sure its similar with CFM.

Also, any quality fan will keep your PC cool.
