Hi Experts

I have recently purchased 2pcs 4GB sticks of Corsair Vengeance. But after putting those or either of those my system is not showing Boot Screen or anything. The RAM and Motherboard details are as follow. Please suggest where things are going wrong:

RAM Details:
--------------
Corsair Vengeance 4GB (1x4GB)
Model# CMZ4GX3M1A1600C9
1600MHz - 9-9-9-24 1.50V

Mother Board is Asus M4A785TD-V EVO.

Manual says it supports 1600(O.C.)

My old RAM KIngston 1333MHz 2Gb is working fine. Please suggest.

Put them in the right dimm slots? Check your mobo manual.

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A785TDV_EVO/specific... says -
"4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR3 1800(O.C.)*/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066/800 ECC,Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Dual Channel memory architecture
*AMD AM3 100 and 200 series CPU support up to DDR3 1066MHz
**Due to OS limitation, when installing total memory of 4GB capacity or more, Windows® 32-bit operation system may only recognize less than 3GB. Install a 64-bit WindowsWindows® OS when you want to install 4GB or more memory on the motherboard."

What cpu and OS you got?

I have got Win 7 Ultimate 64. But now the issue is resolved, by updating the BIOS, I'm running 8GB RAM. Thanks for all the effort and help :-)

It is unusual for later ram to not run at the fastest speeds a board can manage but you might need to update the bios..

Thanks a lot tea_urchin. Your suggestion worked like a charm. I have updated my BIOS and bingo!!! my PC is running with the New set of 8Gig. Thanks a lot for all your help.
