Hello, I have a Lenovo G505s with an AMD A10 5757m apu. I want to upgrade it to house an AMD A10 6800K: http://elow.co.uk/amd-a-series-a10-6800k.html?gclid=CjgKEAjw2pSdBRCc5Or_vuWw7TgSJAA5txZgInFKA3q9pMhRfQ_6YfzK5HM_X-oJ4O8HmAvEiJLQ6fD_BwE

But i'm not sure whether it'll support it or if it will fit or what not. I don't have enough money to splash out for a desktop but I prefer a laptop anyway as i travel a lot. I play bf3 atm and it works ok with an all around fps of 30-50 which is playable but I kinda want more frames so i thought upgrading the processor would be a good idea.

Anyway i can fit that in my laptop?

No you cannot.

Laptop cannot use desktop CPUs because the socket type is different. Also desktop CPUs produces a lot more heat than a laptop can handle anyway.

More importantly, the A10 5757m APU has a "BGA" socket. Anytime you see "BGA" that means the APU or CPU is soldered directly into the motherboard making it basically impossible for you to replace it unless you have the right equipment.

I suppose if you found a CPU from another laptop that was better (probably not gonna happen and if it does, you might as well just use the laptop with the better CPU) and even if, that display if I remember correctly, is only about 60hz which makes for a smooth maximum of about 80-90 FPS. Anything significantly higher than that will cause some major screen tearing because the display can't handle the workload and you pretty much upgraded for nothing. I have this laptop and I haven't really had display problems in the aspect of FPS and performance, but I did notice that, yes, it will get slower with that terabyte HDD that is standard for this model, but I put a Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD in there and I can't even tell you how much of a difference it made. Now, obviously I cannot compare this to my desktop due to all the hardware I have in my build, but let me give you an idea. Before the solid state was in there, my desktop PC would load and then about 5 seconds later, the laptop would load the same webpage up (I used YouTube as a test page) I put in the SSD and it still didn't have the same speed, but it damn near caught up. (My desktop loads things instantly. I hit the enter key and it is already loaded by the time I look up) My desktop is fast and I was really surprised how much of a difference a solid state made in my laptop to almost have the same speed as this. Btw, CPU is overclocked to 4.7GHz
