So I recently purchased a Rosewill RC-504 FireWire card for a PCIe slot after realizing the already-purchased standard PCI card I had wouldn't work due to the slot being covered by my massive Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770. For the modest $20 price tag, I didn't do much research, and just clicked the 'order' button. My computer failed to recognize the card when I installed it, but I hadn't connected it to my power supply (because I was hoping it wasn't necessary - my FireWire device has its own power supply). So, in the process of trying to plug in one of these godforsaken Molex cables, I bent the power input on the card down quite a bit. Ever the optimist, I fired it up and lo and behold, the computer still didn't recognize the card.

So, I guess the short question is, is there possibly something small and silly I've overlooked to make this damned thing work? Have I quite possibly broken it entirely? Thanks!
