I am offered a 3 GPUs r7 260x , r9 270x and r9 280x for about 118$,160$,250$ respectively
of course i want the 280 but i am really on a tight budget
so does the price gap between 260 and 280 worth it
by the way my build is
GA-78LMT-S2P http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=...
Phenom II x2 555 which i couldn't unlock and i know it may bottleneck any of these cards but i will upgrade by the end of the year to fx 6300 or 8350 but its problem for tommorow
I have about 170$ right now so does worth waiting

More about : 260x 270x 280x worth

Considering your prices I'd just get the 270x. It is an excellent performance/value GPU.

consider r9 270x .. Its good, new with mantle and everything though supporting games will launch in time.

Benchmks are also pretty good. And the low price. Go for it.

Quite a big difference between the 3 ...

260X -- 896 Radeon cores / 128-bit
270X -- 1280 Radeon cores / 256-bit
280X -- 2048 Radeon cores / 384-bit

The 280X is the new spin of the HD7970 -- the 270X, the HD7870, which is as good as you can get at 'mid-range'

The 280X should handle most anything for the next few years.

Then R9 270X is fine.

I already gave you the answer above. Just go for r9 270x.
Actually my friend just had it & it is perfect for 1080p gaming. He is running games in a 40" TV. And all games are at minimum 40 fps !
Still check this - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-280x-r9-2...
So njoy!

Depends on the resolution you are going to play games at. If you are playing on 1080p then go with the 270x or 280x. But if you have 900p or less then the 260x alright. As for the CPU it doesn't really matter for 260x and 270x. They are mid-high end cards and they won't be bottlenecked, as for the 280x you should get a better CPU like FX 8350.

Definitely 270x. If the resolution is less than 1920x1080 then a 270x will max out BF4. At 1080p, the 270x will run 60fps on Ultra with no AA. So, at slightly lower resolution the 270x will max out.

The 280X -- just be sure your PSU can handle it.

The FX-6300 will be a good match with your motherboard, but it will tend to over-volt until you take manual control of your voltages.

Hey, the more cash you roll in, the longer it lasts. But i honestly think 260x is still not a horrible choice for anything below 1080p. But hey maybe thats just me, because for me its always higher FPS over graphics. Honestly does it really matter if the shadows are 2k or 4k, or the draw distance is 1000m or 2000m, no it does not, since you will focus on the gameplay you won't even notice the degraded detail. But, again thats just the way I do it. Everybody has their own preference for gaming, be it for better or worse.

I agree its everybodies own opinion, but gamers never take just gameplay to enjoy games. When you are playing on a big screen the difference comes to the eyes! :)

That is why I suggested you 270x.
Now 260x is not future proof.
Next year amd is going to launch its next generation due to the introduction of Direct X12. So the games will go to next level too!
270x is good to go with
.
It supports eyefinity and has mantel tech too...
