Need urgent HDD help anything is greatly apperciated

My Seagate barracuda has recently been clicking twice during startup.
but the problem is I my computer wont pick it up and it shows in device manager and in the BIOS and I can even choose it to be a start up device.
is there any way I can access the files on it or format it at all?
all help is greatly appreciated..

    it doesn't show up it only shows my current drive and my corrupt laptop hdd but my Seagate doesn't show.

    I hate to say it but i think your HDD has had its day unfortunately
    I just hope there was no super important data you had not backed up still stored on that drive.
    Looks like its time to buy a new drive :(

    and im never getting another Seagate that one lasted 5 moths and I pays 100 dollars for it.

  13. it may be the click of death , seagate are good so are western digital , it is just bad luck
    If only 5 months you may be able to rma the drive it may be still under warranty

    I would return it but it has lots of private files and I cant wipe it so its just going to go to landfill.

    thanks all your help has made me relies that its not my HDD its the Logic Board. I believe it has shorted out and is making my disk visible but not enabling it to spin.
