I just bought this monitor and when the screen is dark it shows this:

Above the Dark souls letters. What is this?

Dead pixels? Light bleed? Which is rare because I thought it only happened in the edges of the screen.

Is there a way to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Can you see that from all angles? I know this monitor is a tn panel also is that towards the bottom looks like it? Make sure it's not a reflection of anything also does this happen only on dark screens and is there on all other games?

Actually, when I lean to the right of the monitor I can't see it. But I can see it in the front and on the left.

It happens with any black color or grey to black color.

What do you think? Anyone else?

Thanks for the quick reply.

Definitely doesn't look or seem to be dead pixels also would be very weird to have that many dead pixels in the same spot looks more like light bleed and you said it happens in any dark screen so sounds a lot like light bleed also there is a form of lightbleed under the Dark Souls text. Where did you buy it you could return it that would be bummer though.

I know you can fix dead pixels by pressing on the screen if that is what it was but it doesn't look to be that I would use an eraser at the end of a pencil if you tried this.

I got it from Amazon. Since I live overseas I can't return it (Unless I pay a lot of money) so all I cant get is a 20% refund. So I ended up paying $136.8

It doesn't affects Gameplay unless there's a dark room or something in the game. In that case it becomes very distracting.

So there's no way to fix this?

What does it look like on a pure black background? I think that's the best way to see it. Also it's just weird because it almost doesn't even look like lightbleed or dead pixels..

Turn off your monitor.
Get yourself a damp cloth, so that you don't scratch your screen.
Apply pressure to the area where the dead pixel is.
While applying pressure, turn on your system and screen.

you can try that there are a few ways to try and fix dead pixels but doubt that's what it is.

I think you should try and contact them directly with more pictures than that and with a full black background and they could tell you exactly what it is it just seems so weird.

at the bottom.

Also did you try this? http://jasonfarrell.com/misc/deadpixeltest.php that could tell you at least what the pixel issue is if that's what it is, you could even take pictures when these colored screens are up it looks like hot pixels those since they are white.

You only paid 136.8 for it plus shipping and handling?
