EVGA 780 6gb vs ZOTAC 780ti 3gb

I'm in the same boat as you... I game at 6040x1080 (bezel corrected).
Personally, I'm waiting for 6gb Ti's. And if they never show up, then the 800 series. This 700 series never wow'd me enough to upgrade.
Plus with Watchdogs eating up more than 3.7gb of VRAM when fully maxed out (I read it somewhere, can't find the article), it only makes one think that the current cards won't be able to handle tomorrow's (or next year's games)... especially on 3 screens.
If you absolutely need to upgrade this week, go SLI 780's in 6GB.

Hi thanks for the replies.. what about 770 in sli? would that be a better option..
Just got rid of my 7950 as the extra active cable thing just really bugged me.. went through 2 in a month.. so yeah currently without a card.. maybe a classified over a 6g version of the 780. I am assuming 780 would be about twice a 7950.

Cross fire two r9 280xs to get 6 gigs of vram AND have enough cores etc to actually drive that ram.
Problem with most high ram single cards is that they lack the means to drive such a high amount of ram unless we are talking about a gtx titan (but that is way to much cash for graphics) so crossfire or sli if you like nvidia for best results.

Two 3GB cards in SLI or Crossfire = 3GB... not 6GB.

The point I was pushing is most cards that are 4+ are not 4+ as well. Most cards with such high memory start maxing out on their cores etc before they can fully use such high vram. This is usually why cf/sli can out perform a singular high end card. Now in the case of say a titan it is a little different as cards like that have enough power to use their high vram under load.
Cf/sli or a card that can actually push that high vram is what he needs to do.
