Write Cache WILL make the drives faster BUT if the Raid card OR the PC/Server does NOT have a BBU/UPS (Backup Battery Unit/Uninterrpted Power Supply) You WILL Lose data being written if the power is out or the PC/server is turned off too soon.

Now It has NOTHING to do with the RAID about write cashe and all about the controller and if it supports it. Most likely If the controller has NO onboard memory it will not support it. Most Server RAID cards have 128MB to 2-4 GB memory as a Cashe. If your card does not have this again you will not be able to do it.
