I was on my computer and I saw there was a new update for my drivers out, through the AMD "GAMING EVOLVED" app so i downloaded it and when it was done i restarted and went to do some stuff. 10 mins later come up and my computer is sitting at a black screen many restarts later it is still there, HELP?
P.S. My graphics card is a radeon R9 280X.

Solution
Use F8 by tapping repeatedly upon reboot and go into safe mode. From here, go to system protection under my computer properties. Do a system restore at a point just prior to installing this app. This will re-establish your last configuration prior to installing this app so it will be exactly as that time point just before you downloaded it. This should readily resolve your issue. You will be prompted to restart your computer and it will indicate that Windows is performing a restore and to keep your system on while it processes this. Please update when completed.

Sorry for a late message on this. I've had this for a long time now that i'm not able to update my amd graphics drivers any further than 13.12 or else it will just crash into a black screen while updating and after a force shutdown goes into another black screen after loading the windows login screen. This is all with windows 8.1, i've had the same issue with windows 7 and i've looked everywhere online for a fix but nothing works. I got a lot of games that require my graphics drivers to be atleast at 14.2 so i'm stuck. I'm running a ASUS Direct CUll R9 290
