Should i return this CPU?

A few days ago i bought a new CPU off amazon UK (asin Amazon UK being the seller) and installed it no problems. Yesterday I took the CPU out to clean off the thermal paste (to apply a new amount for the new heatskink) and discovered that 2 pins were slightly bent. I followed the "zero force insertion" as usual so my only thought is those pins were bent by the cpu during the locking mechanism. I unbent them and all is fine other thanthere is some 1 second auto repeating after an install of direct x through steam and SniperEliteV2 stopped responding once today (but only once). I checked on CoreTemp and my abient temps are 20 - 30 degrees and my gaming temps are 40.
The processor is an AMD FX-6300.

So should i return it to amazon to make sure? I am fairly annoyed given that this bending was not my fault. And would amazon accept such a return? Or should i just say it was "faulty"?

Solution
If the pins were all straight and inserted correctly, the locking mechanism would not bend them.
You may have a hard time with that argument.
I am surprised that you are working properly so perhaps your straitening the pins was successful.
I suggest you do a stress test on the cpu. Use OCCT or similar to check it out.
Perhaps memtest86+ also.
If that works ok, then your other issues are probably software/driver related.

If you have a failure, try and return the cpu saying it was faulty.

No i ensured i installed and took it out as carefully as possible and i inspect all the pins before and after i move a cpu. That is why i noticed them bent after taking it out the first time from my mobo

You must have bent the pins when you re-installed the cpu during the hsf swap out. I seriously doubt that contributed to whatever issue you had gaming.

what issues can arise from those previously bent pins if i dont return the CPU?

Nothing. Many pins are redundant and you said you bent them back anyway. Sounds like you have a software stability issue.
