I won a new cpu cooler yay! But when I installed it I found out my ram is too high to fit next to it, I have this ram : http://azerty.nl/0-750-361602/corsair-vengeance-.html (corsair vengeance) it is now pressed to fit but its is not ideal, can i remove the top of the ram? like the body around it I dont know what it is called haha! I know that I'll eventually have to buy low-profile ram but in the meantime is there another way to fix this problem?

Thank you and sorry for my awful english!

Solution
Most ddr3 ram runs cool unless you are over clocking it a lot. Most heat sinks on ram for ddr 3 are for looks unless its high frequency ram or sevearly over clocked. So removing the heat sink on normal clocked ddr 3 would cause no issues for you.
