Hi, currently my computer runs on this,

AMD FX(tm)-6200 Six-Core Processor
16 GB Ram
Nvidia GeForce GT 630
Corsair CX600M Power Supply

And I use it to play games in a 1920x1080p resolution.

I am looking to upgrade my computer to something that can easily reach a stable 60 fps in every game I want to play while on max settings and while recording with fraps because currently my computer only just reaches 30 fps with fraps disabled.

I am looking to spend around £500-£600 on these upgrades but I cannot go any higher than £600.

Can anyone suggest some parts that can help me achieve this. I was going to just buy a GTX 780 Ti graphics card and then upgrade the power supply to around 800 - 850 watts but I read that the motherboard will limit the cards power significantly, is this true, and if it is, what should I do instead?

Thanks in advance.

Your graphics card is the thing holding you back. So upgrading that to a GTX 770 or R9 280X would increase your FPS significantly. I'm not sure what the person was on about, regarding your motherboard.

R9 280X: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/parts/video-card/#c=148&sort=a7

OR if you want more power:

R9 290: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/parts/video-card/#c=152&sort=a7

The person was saying that lower end motherboards will bottleneck the power or something around those lines.

Thanks for the graphics card links by the way, they may come in handy if I fall short of the Asus 780 Ti's price.

Your welcome.

I think you will be very happy with a GTX 770 (Overclocked GTX 680) or R9 280X (AMD 7970 Ghz edition). It's a massive increase over that GT 630.

TBH, at even this level of card you'd be on the brink, if not already, of having your CPU holding you back in CPU intensive games. So these would be the best cards i'd recommend to you. The FX series need to be overclocked really to get the fullest potential out of them, but yeah, you need a good motherboard & cooler to do that.

So what should i do then? Do I buy a new computer or let the motherboard bottleneck a 780 Ti?

I'd just go with either the GTX 770 or R9 280X that are great for 1080p & enjoy the massive improvement over the GT 630.

Then save up & upgrade/replace your FX system either next year with Intel's 5th Generation Broadwell or wait for Skylake some time after that.
